I have been trying to compile some new recipes to start cooking. Nothing hard or overly fancy, but definitely tasty.
I had asked my dear friend, who is a fabulous cook, among being fabulous at many other things too, if she had any ideas. Her first suggestion was cheeseburger macaroni.
No need to go further.
Cheeseburger Mac it was!
I have been so busy these past few days, running errands galore and then coming home to complete my list of to dos for the home.
A quick but delicious meal was the key for tonight.
I didn't measure anything but the cheese. I know that was 2 cups. But you can play around with the taste. It's super easy.
In one pot, boil elbow macaroni.
In a pan, brown some ground beef, add ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
Then when you drain the pasta, use that pot to make a bechamel sauce (flour, milk and butter) for the base. Add your two cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Mix, add salt and pepper to taste and pour in the meat, mix. Then add the macaroni, mix and e.n.j.o.y!
So simple, yet so good! Try it. You'll be happy you did. And when you do, let me know and I will tell Jilly so she knows that her delicious meals are traveling from table to table! She'll love that.
