One Drop (58)

One Drop...

(I like the one little droplet in focus in this picture)

When I took Jimmy out this morning, I saw these tiny, beautiful little droplets of water, sitting ever so daintily on the thin leaves. I ran back in to grab my camera to capture the sun bouncing off these sweet little bubbles. It was like they were going to burst for joy!

Come On Friday!

I have a few things on my list for the week that I am really looking forward to, and a few that I'm really not looking forward to. One thing I am really looking forward to is our first marriage prep. class tomorrow evening! Hope it's enjoyable. ;) But the highlight comes on Friday. When all the good and all the bad pass by, we are heading here

to see her

I took these of Carrie when we were at the Nashville Rising concert last year.

I cannot wait to see her! There are a few other artists going to be there, but I will post about the concert when we get back.
Before hand we are going to drive around a little and I want to take everyone to see this ah-mazing hotel

I have so many pictures from my stay here last year. It deserves a post devoted soley to it - in the future, but for now, I'll post a few.

We'll grab a bite to eat and then on over to see the lovely Carrie Underwood! :) I am really looking forward to seeing the hotel after they repaired it from the terrible flood last year. They suffered so much damage and it is such a beautiful place. Can't wait to hit the streets of the Music City! :)

I'd really like to go here

for a nice run,
surrounded by the sights of Music City,
out in the wide open, endless fresh air!

 Maybe one day.

But for today, I have to bring my car in to get serviced and hop on down to B'ham. I have bills to pay, people to call, wedding related e-mails to reply to, forms to fill out... and I won't bore you with the rest of the list. All to get done and then prepare dinner and wake up real early tomorrow morning to go back to B'ham. Crazy stuff, but the sooner these days pass, the sooner Carrie comes along. :)

"Gus" Came Home From "North Carolina" (57)

"Gus" (aka. Mono)
GUS is written on the overpass for a train in our town. I remember always loving that, even before we were dating. I'd always pass under it and think of him.
He went on a business trip to North Carolina and brought me back a Starbucks mug! I love them...and him! :)
This mug is so me. It's neutrals and teals, the beach and a really solid mug.
It's perfect. Thank you Gus/Mono for my gift!!

Purging... My Life.

I have no pictures from today. Yikes. I have been so busy all day, going through my closet, bathroom and bedroom, trying to purge. I am getting rid of clothes that don't fit, I don't like, or just don't need. I don't need as much as I have and other people can use it more than I can. I am trying to simplify. I'm not good at getting rid of things when a memory (of any sort) is tagged along with it, so this is hard for me. I did my best to just not even think about that and just put it in the bag to go. I was proud of the outcome. The only thing that I had a hard time and didn't do so well letting go of is my purse collection. I have a few real special ones and a lot that I just like having. I love purses. Like seriously love them. It's bad. But other than that I did well. Next I have to go through my magazines and pages of paper that are full of ideas I have, and a drawer or two in my desk, but other than that, I think I am pretty good with what I have and what I did get rid of. :) So, no pictures today. Ooopps. I will get back to that though. And let me just say, it feels good when things are clean and simplified.

Today (55)

Oh, can the title of this post get any more creative than that? Today. That's all I can do?!
I am so dry in the writing area. Sorry about that. Here's my picture(s) for the day.

I wish the beautiful light shining through my windows and hitting these flowers came out as perfect in film as they were in real life. Didn't capture it just like I saw it with my eyes, but it's still real nice. :) I  love light!

Purple Lawn (54)

Our front lawn, well really, all of the acres around our house and the neighboring land, has purple lawns! I wish it could stay forever. I know it will be a sad day for me when my Dad has to cut the grass.
 Make a wish!

I really would be the happiest girl if these flowers could cover our lawn forever. I should try to capture it again as they bloom even more and spread further around.

Rise And Shine! (53)

Good morning!

I hope you all have a wonderful, sun-shiny day!!

A Different View

As I was eating a quick bowl of cereal for breakfast, I turned on the TV to see what was on the news.
It was a minute or two after 10:00 and The View was on.
I never tune into that show, primarily for the same reason I turned it off this morning.
Apparently there is a large billboard hanging in NYC that is anti-abortion! Yay for life!
I am on my way out the door, so I am not going to get into the whole issue, but they were very much for Planned Parenthood.
I could not stomach to hear any of the ladies speak (even Elisbeth Hasselbeck, who is the most conservative of the women) about the good P.P does do.
All I know is, they do plenty of bad.
The way they spoke of abortion made me sick.
Part of me wanted to stay tuned in to hear their lack of knowledge of the truth, but since I couldn't jump into the tv and argue with them, I had to turn it off.
It is so sick and saddening to hear how women speak so freely about abortion, like it is nothing.
Where is their heart? Their soul or their conscience?
Thank you, ladies of The View, for reminding me why I do not watch your show.

What Do You See? (52)

Yes, I am random... very random.
As I was getting ready for my day today, I squirted out toothpaste onto my toothbrush (yes, I know I need a new one... that will be taken care of over the next couple of days), like I do twice a day, every day... I glanced down and saw this...
Okay, maybe it is because my bathroom is like a mini vacation to the beach, and when I think of teal, little sea creatures come to mind, but do you see this or is it just me? I see a cute little seahorse.

Is this like when you are little, laying on the lush, green grass and looking up at the sky seeing figures in the clouds? Well yeah, I see mine in toothpaste. ;)

Having A Little Craving For Palm Trees

We have the sun.
We have the warm days.
But we don't have the palm trees.
I have been enjoying these sunny, warm days, but still, something was missing.
I figured out today what exactly was missing.
These wonderful, graceful trees.

So yes, I am craving some palm tree sightings in my days lately.
All of these photos are from my vacations to Key Biscayne, FL this summer.
What wonderful memories.
Palm trees have many styles of their own. There are short ones, tall ones, majestic ones, skinny ones... so many, but they are each beautiful in their own way.

I love when they are full and tall.

Even their shadows are beautiful!

 I love these. :)
They are beautiful during the day and at night.

Can't you just hear the water flapping onto the sand and feel your hair blowing in the sunny, salty breeze? I can!

I wish every road was lined with such beautiful, happy trees!

Everyone who lives in places, like Key Biscayne, where palm trees find their home, are so lucky. All trees are beautiful, but there is something so unique and special about these. :) I cannot wait to see these trees this summer!

This won't be a bad view either... Just a little glimpse of heaven! :)
